RN – Pediatrics

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Registered Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients. The ideal candidate holds an Associate Degree in Nursing, is a graduate of an accredited nursing program (ACEN, CCNE, or State Board approved), and possesses current BLS and PALS certifications. A minimum of one year of full-time pediatric RN experience within the last two years is required, along with an active, unrestricted RN license.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree: Associates Degree of Nursing
• Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). In lieu of graduation from an ACEN or CCNE Accredited program, the HCW may be a graduate from a State Board of Nursing or accredited nursing program
• Certification: BLS, PALS
• Experience: 1 year of full-time clinical experience within the last 2 years as a Registered Nurse.
• Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse as required

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The duties include but are not limited to the following:
• Perform a full range of RN duties in accordance with assignment under the task order, including triage; patient assessment and monitoring; use of patient monitoring and treatment equipment; appropriate nursing care, procedures, and treatments; execution of physicians’ orders within the guidelines of standard nursing practice; documentation of patient care and observations; and patient education and emotional support.
• Provide professional nursing care in a knowledgeable, skillful, consistent, and continuous manner.
• Assess each patient and perform triage duties as assigned.
• Formulate and carry out a goal directed plan of care which is based on determined nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes, and which is prioritized according to patient needs and available resources including time, personnel, equipment, and supplies.
• Evaluate effectiveness of self-care given by all health team members, and contribution of systems, environment, and instrumentation in progressing patient toward outcomes.
• Provide treatment and discharge instructions upon patient release.
• Perform assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.
• Provide a safe and clean environment for each patient.
• Ensure areas are stocked and properly equipped.
• Identify patient/significant other learning needs and implement appropriate measures to meet identified needs.
• Assist in planning, provide clinical direction and provide instruction to LPNs/LVNs, nursing assistants and ancillary personnel.

Services shall normally be provided Monday through Friday between the hours of 0645 to 2300. Services may be provided Sunday through Saturday between the hours of 0730 to 1800. The HCWs shall be scheduled for an 8.5-hour shift including an uncompensated 30
