Neurologist

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Neurologist to join our medical team. As a Neurologist, you will be responsible for providing a full range of physician services in accordance with the privileges granted by our medical facility. Your duties will include examining, diagnosing, treating, and prescribing courses of treatment within your scope of training, experience, and privileges. Additionally, you will provide preventive and health maintenance care, order diagnostic tests, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.).
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada, with accreditation recognized by relevant bodies.
  • Certification: Board eligible or board certified.
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship and residency program approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education or the Committee on Postdoctoral Training of the American Osteopathic Association.
  • Experience: Clinical competency requirements specified in the Service-specific credentialing instructions.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice medicine as required.

The duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Perform a full range of physician services in accordance with granted privileges.
  • Direct, perform, or assist in the instruction of other healthcare professionals.
  • Examine, diagnose, treat, and prescribe courses of treatment.
  • Provide preventive and health maintenance care through education and counseling.
  • Order diagnostic tests and request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians or clinics.
  • Technically proficient in directing and teaching medical staff, providing educational lectures, and participating in in-service training.
  • Meet or exceed minimum workload standards for Neurologist.
  • Request and interpret diagnostic tests, provide diagnoses, and administer indicated treatment.
  • Prescribe and dispense medications as indicated by the diagnosis.
  • Complete required documentation per facility policy for each patient.
  • Facilitate patient access to medical care by recommending and processing appropriate referrals.
  • Ensure continuity of care to patients beyond scheduled working hours.

Work Hours: 0730-1600 Monday-Friday
