Psychiatric Technician

We are currently seeking a talented certified Psychiatric Technician to provide care at the Psychiatric Unit at Brooke Army Medical Center, Ft. Sam Houston, TX. Great opportunity to work with our military community, providing care to our active duty soldiers. Some of your duties in this role will be assisting in conducting group and individual counseling and reporting patients’ progress, performing initial basic assessment procedures including standardized psychological testing, clinical interviewing, mental status examinations, and psychological and nursing assessments.

Minimum requirements:

• One year of experience as a psychiatric technician after graduation
• Must hold AAPT certification
• Graduated from an accredited Psychiatric Technician Program
• Have a current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
